This role is a part of the Drug Delivery Group, which is responsible for the research, development and

support of Piramal medical devices.

  · Key contributor towards the design, development, testing and validation for all phases (prototype

to final production) of a drug delivery system for anesthetic drugs.

  · Tested and validated performance of electronic sensors and patient monitoring subsystems, such as

Pulse Oximetry, ECG, and NIBP, in the integrated unit.

  · Improved and validated subsystem performance through analysis, simulation, and lab testing by

utilizing tools and equipment such as MATLAB, oscilloscopes and other lab equipment.

  · Validated hardware design specifications for prototypes through testing, and analyzing circuit

schematics, PCB’s and firmware code running on Xilinx FPGA. Debugged hardware and firmware

defects to solve potential issues.

device alpha prototype for a secondary drug delivery project.

testing (bring-up) of hardware and software for newly manufactured ASR-9000 aggregation platform

routers.

  · Contributed in the bring up of Route Processors, Fabric Cards, high-capacity Ethernet Line cards

with a range of 10 to 100 Gigabits per second.

  · Displayed strong analytical skills and expertise in performing component level debugging and

repairs for multi layered PCB’s.

  · Ran hardware and software diagnostic tools in Linux for screening out manufacturing faults, and

localizing failures to aid in debug.

This role involved working on different technical issues relating to circuit repairs, touch screens

calibrations, LCD malfunctions and electronics.

  · Troubleshooting based on problems reported by users - performed circuit analysis and component

Chest CT Scans Image Registration

Researched and implemented algorithm using techniques like correlation matching, principal axes

transformation for registration of multi-modal CT scans to visualize and detect lung nodules.

RF Test Bench (Multidisciplinary Senior Design Project)

Designed a RF test bench for a wireless command and control communication system which tests the

system performance such as power, bandwidth, data loss, latency and range. Involved as the PCB board

and lead circuit designer in the team.

Environmental Monitoring System

Programmed TI-MSP430 development board to calculate temperature, pressure and humidity

conditions using MSP430 assembly language.

4-bit RISC Processor

Designed and implemented a 4-bit RISC single core non pipelined processor using Quartus II software

that performs 16 basic ALU operations on an FPGA prototyping board.

Handwritten Digit Classification

Designed linear and k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) classifiers to detect and classify handwritten digit

images from a multivariate dataset.
